A: Rest assured I have your note, but like with the submissions, I get hundreds and it takes me time to get to them all so please have patience. And please, don't send more than one note thinking I didn't receive the first one.

Q: Why isn't the member list updated often/Why am I not on the memberlist?

A: It's a tedious process because I try to have all the names of members in alphabetical order to make it easier for people to find their names on the list. I also get hundreds of join notes and people are constantly joining, so it's easier for me to just do one huge update every few months than add a few names to the ML all day long everyday.

Q: How do I post my art in UnseenArtists?

Q: When and where are the Submission dates announced?

A: They are announced at the top of the front journal for the club and on the Important Updates page every two weeks.

Q: What is the difference between the Main Gallery and the Thumb Gallery?

A: The Main Gallery is the standard deviantART gallery for users. When you submit to the Main Gallery, we download your deviation and reupload it, disabling comments and fullview and putting a link back to your original in the description. The downside to this gallery is that members and guests sometimes won't click on the original link and instead fav the club version, which generates more work for us.

The Thumb Gallery takes advantage of deviantART's subscriber features, which allow us to put thumbnails into journal entries. It is a journal entry, with thumbs separated by category. With almost all members watching the journal entries for UnseenArtists, the Thumb Gallery journal will go to virtually every member of the club.

Q: Is there a place where I can share my art?

A: Yes, several actually. The best place is the #UnseenArtists Chat. You can send in art submissions, but please follow the rules regarding that. UnA also has a forum that you can use to post up links to your work and gallery. You are also welcome to post links to your work on the message area of the main page or in the Shoutboard. This site is for you to advertise yourself as an artist!

We also suggest you use our Member Advertisements to help get yourself seen, as well as utilizing the advice we provide in the Guide to Gaining Recognition.

Q: What Genres of art does UnseenArtists support?

A: All genres are accepted, except things DA would not allow such as porn or distasteful suicidal artwork or screencaps of anime series, video games or movies and TV shows. Please refer also to the deviantArt Help for more specific information.

Q: I sent a submission note in AGES ago, why hasn't my deviation been posted?

A: With almost 4,000+ members and only a small handful people in charge of submitting art, we can only post up so much art at a time. The art submission policy is always changing to help suit the club's needs and make things more fair so all members can get at least one deviation up in the UnA gallery. We apologize for any inconveniences, but rest assured, if you sent us a submission it will be posted eventually.

Q: Can I contribute art to the club?

A: Yes you can! I love getting advertisements made for UnA or any UnA related artwork. I also love art dedicated to UnA (that's not neccessarily related to the club but with it in mind), so send away if you make any ^^ It will get automatically posted in our Honorable Mentions journal!

Q: What is the club mascot?

A: The club mascot is Shade, the purple cat that represents all the UnseenArtists members.

Q: Who are the staff of UnseenArtists?

A: The staff include me, the creator, maintainer, and ruler of UnseenArtists as a whole, *Otaku1811, my co-founder and ruler of the chatroom, ~BeyondEarth, the club's current headmaster, =TwinEnigma, and the helpers who will always be listed on the main page and are often found in the chatroom joining new members and keeping the peace or submitting art to the club account.

Q: What is the Monthly Member Spotlight?

A: The Monthly Member Spotlight is a special feature to UnA where members nominate other members to have their artwork featured on UnA's main page for an entire month. =TwinEnigma is responsible for collecting the names of the nominees and giving them to me to choose who the lucky four members of the month will be. I try to choose four artists that are entirely different, so I will never select four anime artists, but rather an anime artist, a 3D artist, a photographer, ect. This helps keep the spotlight fair and varied since UnA promotes all types of artists.

Q: How can I be selected for the Monthly Member Spotlight?

A: Members who are selected have to be very active in the community, usually through the chatroom. They can also be selected by helping out the club in some way. The more active you are, the better the chance you'll be selected since it is up to other members to choose you, so make friends and chat!

Q: Can I resign from the club?

A: Yes, although I discourage it if you choose to leave for these reasons: 1.) You can't be online often and you're not active in UnA or on DA, 2.) You're annoyed that you get flooded with too much artwork that's submitted to UnA or too many journal entries when UnA is undergoing heavy updates, 3.) You still feel your artwork is unseen and that UnA is not working for you. If you wish to leave for reason 1, I promise that you don't have to be active on DA or in UnA to be a member. UnA will always be here, and if you want to drop by and submit art or chat with members, you're always welcomed. If it's reason 2 then you can just shut off the journals you receive from UnA, and if it's reason 3 please make sure you read UnA's "Guide to Gaining Recognition" and try all of your options to get your work seen. If all of the above does not apply and you really just want out for any reason then send me a note titled "Leaving UnA" and I will remove you from the memberlist.

Q: I don't know how to use DA chats, is there a way to make it more simple?

A: UnseenArtists chatroom was created a week before the actual club, around November 1st, 2005, and the club was made November 5th.

Q: What do the 'Helpers' do for UnA?

A: Helpers are important to keep the chatroom running smoothly. They weed out art theives, keep the peace among chatters, join new members, and keep me informed of important matters in the chat.

Q: How can I become a helper?

A: Send =TwinEnigma a note asking to become a helper and she will send you an application. Fill it out, answering all the questions as best as you can and send it back to her. She will review it and if you pass you will be hired. Don't be surprised if you're rejected though, because we only want serious people to help out who will be reliable. Being a helper should not be about having a higher status in the chatroom, but because you naturally wish to devote time and effort to help out. If you wish to know more, read the section for helpers on the rules page.

Q: Why was I kicked out of the #UnseenArtists chatroom?

A: Usually helpers will put a reason for kicking a member so the member knows what they did to be kicked. Basically if you break the rules or cause any type of disharmony in the chat a.k.a. bad behavior, you may have been kicked for it.
